About me!
Although my username is kathiel12, my real name is Kathie Rivera. I’m still exploring my genre, but I’m inclining myself to write in the Fantasy genre, but I’m still undecided. I began to write small things when I was eight up until I was twelve. Then life got in the way and I abandoned my dreams of ever writing again until I was pregnant with my daughter Cristina. I quit my job wanting to take care of her, but as I stayed at home my dream for writing returned. Why not? I said to myself. I was home, I didn’t have a job anymore and now I had all the time I never had to write before. So, I took a shot at it, learned about Wattpad through my smaller sister, joined on June 6, 2015 and have been a member of the writing community ever since.

My adventure in Wattpad begun on June 6, 2015. The first story I posted on Wattpad was my story Magicka.
(First cover of the first version and Actual Cover for the final version)
At first I began to post my chapters without knowing what the Wattpad world had to offer and began to feel desperate when my story didn’t receive any new reads. For a time I lost faith in my story and had a username by the name of @abeautifulmelody take a look. I will never forget her. She basically introduced me to writing and I listened to her advice and began to learn about writing.
Then I began to explore Wattpad. I searched for books on writing tips and learned things from wonderful users. I will never forget that @EdwardMullen emailed me an outline, but I have gained so much more from Wattpad. I’ve had the chance to read classics I couldn’t afford to buy, followers I never had in my life, I’ve participated in the clubs and learned a lot from more experienced writers, I’ve participated in several contests and won wonderful prizes and I’ve made some great friends along the way.
My passion and enthusiasm for writing grew although I’ve always been a book lover since I was ten years old.
(What I considered to be a novel when I was ten years old.)
When I was in sixth grade I learned to love books when one day one of my teachers introduced me to a library. During that day we were taught on how to use a library card, how to get a book and how to return, etc. That day was just a usual day where we had to grab any book and start the reading. Little did I know that on that day my life would be changed and so affected by books in that very moment. The first book I ever picked off without knowing who the author was or what the story was all about was a book written by R.L. Stine. I still remember the cover and it has always affected me since then. (Positively, of course) The title of the book was: Who’s been sleeping in my grave? That book although it may not be the great American Novel or anything introduced me to the world of books and without that read I would have never been able to read books like Jane Eyre or The Portrait of Dorian Grey.
(Cover of the First Book I ever picked up to read for pure pleasure during a school asignment.)
I love cooking pasta, but I can’t cook my favorite dish which is Mofongo with Shrimp, it’s plantain. Here’s the picture of what Mofongo with Shrimp is looks like. It’s one of Puerto Rico’s best delicacies.
